Jahrestagung der Gesellschaft für Medizinische Ausbildung (GMA)
Welcome
Dear colleagues, dear students,
We warmly invite you to the Annual Conference of the Society for Medical Education 2026, taking place from September 17 to 19 in Dresden.
Under the motto "Next Generation Teaching – Challenges and Opportunities of High-Quality Education," we look ahead together: toward a future of medical education and training shaped by change, diversity, and innovation.
Dresden is an ideal location for this. Why? As a city with a rich history, baroque architecture, and a vibrant cultural landscape—but above all as a center of dynamic research, digitalization, and technological development—we embody a field of tension between tradition and transformation.
But "Next Generation Teaching" means more to us than a technological buzzword. It means rethinking teaching—as a shapeable, open space for interaction, creativity, and social responsibility.
- How do we convey knowledge in a world where facts are available at any moment, but orientation and judgment matter more than ever?
- How do we design learning environments that inspire active participation and co-creation – across disciplines, generations, and cultures?
- How are learning spaces, teaching concepts, and examination formats changing under the influence of digital technologies?
We look forward to three days full of discussion, exchange, inspiration, and lived-out future in Dresden.
Join us on this journey, where baroque meets modernity—and actively help shape the next generation of teaching!
