This year’s DKOU (Deutscher Kongress für Orthopaedie und Unfallchirurgie) is themed „Exploring new paths“, and takes place from 20 to 23 October 2026 in Berlin. It comprises the 7th Congress of the German Society of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery (DGOU), the 111th Annual Conference of the German Society of Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Surgery (DGOOC), the 89th Annual Conference of the German Trauma Society (DGU), as well as the 66th Annual Conference of the Professional Association of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (BVOU).
About 8,000 orthopaedic surgeons, trauma surgeons, orthopaedic technicians, medical staff, nurses and physiotherapists will attend. Renowned cooperation partners support the inter-disciplinary and inter-professional exchange. Along with the guest nations Netherlands and Poland, international lectures are presented in English.
