<MainHeadline>Text</MainHeadline><Pgraph><Mark1>Background:</Mark1> Since the time of Hippocrates, support such as the art of music has played an important role in providing care during hospital treatment. The severe form of psychopathology in anorexia nervosa of the restrictive type leaves consequences on both the physical and psychological functioning of patients, and they require a whole range of multidisciplinary treatment. In this way, importance is given to understanding the overall state of health of the patient, while encouraging their spiritual empowerment. An active, creative model of music therapy is applied in working with children and adolescents irrespective of their degree of pathology or disability, adapting to their needs in which they have the opportunity to process and freely shape their current energy. </Pgraph><Pgraph><Mark1>Objectives:</Mark1> The objective of this paper, conducted during clinical practice at the Postgraduate Interdisciplinary Specialist Study of Music Therapy (Academy of Arts and Culture in co-operation with the Faculty of Medicine, J.J. Strossmayer University of Osijek), was to describe the fundamental aspects of the group music therapy process for children and adolescents with feeding and eating disorders (Department of Paediatrics, Sisters of Mercy University Hospital Centre in Zagreb). </Pgraph><Pgraph><Mark1>Methods:</Mark1> The analytical method was used through the studies of the authors who laid the foundation of music therapy intervention. </Pgraph><Pgraph><Mark1>Conclusion:</Mark1> The conclusion points to the importance of co-operation between different experts and understanding of the overall implementation, striving to successfully apply appropriate methods during the music therapy process.</Pgraph></TextBlock>
